Tanja Conway-Grim
Tanja’s first experience of going missing was at a very young age and this pattern continued into adulthood. Later on, these early experiences led to an ongoing interest in missing persons, the reasons people may go missing and search techniques. This led to undertaking Lowland Rescue search training and working with charities such as Locate International and Missing People, as well as completing an MRes in Forensic Investigation at Cranfield University which focussed on search techniques.

My Work.
Tanja is a Trustee for Locate International and is a member of the Lived Experience Advisory Group for Missing People. She speaks regularly at conferences about her experiences of going missing. Tanja is keen to explore the link between autism and going missing, something which is still relatively unexplored in academic research.
Tanja has been working with Charlie Hedges MBE on various projects for several years after meeting, predictably, at a missing persons conference. They continue working together at Locate International, the Missing Persons Information Hub and now at Safe and Found Online.
Tanja works as a senior specialist coach supporting neurodivergent people in the workplace, and mentors new coaches. She creates and facilitates bespoke training on all aspects of neurodiversity, missing people and suicide prevention for a wide range of organisations and services.
